A game plan cometh

This has been circulating the internet — it’s Woody Guthrie’s New Year’s Resolutions from 1942. I wonder how these got to the web, but I’ll take it. How cool is this?

While I don’t want to share all of my resolutions, here are a few things that I’m looking to do in the new year:

Explore the city.

It’s important to me to develop a better understanding of my neighborhood, my town, my city. While Los Angeles may never hook me like Cleveland and Seattle did, I cannot know for sure until I actually give it a fair chance to do so.

Write more letters.

Keeping up with folks has always been important, and those who have seen me pull my hair out to get Christmas/Hanukkah cards out on time this year know how much it means to me. However, I want to write letters, inquire more, and not let Facebook do the duty of keeping up with those whom I truly care about.

Share pieces of daily hilarity.

It’s so important to laugh, and even more important to share. The web has made it so easy to accomplish this, so why not incorporate a little bit of fun on the bottom of my blog posts?

With that said, here’s a great video a friend enlightened me with just a few hours ago.

Hey, what’s this in the weeds? It’s a baby. Awesome!
